Research firm Pangram released a report analyzing the prevalence of artificial intelligence-generated content across major social media platforms based on data collected by its Chrome extension [1]. The dataset comprises over 1.02 million posts gathered since April 24, 2026 [1]. Across all scanned platforms, the average rate of AI-generated content was found to be 13.8% [1].
LinkedIn emerged as a significant hub for such material, with more than 40% of long-form posts exceeding 250 words marked as entirely generated by AI [1][1]. In contrast, X/Twitter presented a mixed landscape where 23.9% of articles were fully AI-generated and an additional 22.9% contained hybrid content combining human creation with AI assistance [1]. While Reddit replies remained predominantly human-authored at 98.1%, the top-tier posts on the platform showed an AI generation rate of 11.6% [1][1]. Additionally, Pangram's analysis indicated that roughly one-quarter (25.72%) of all long-form texts scanned were identified as completely generated by artificial intelligence [1].
